Acquisitions | Vintage Porsche Carrera Aviators

Even most of the seemingly gigantic Tom Ford aviators look like tiny 19th century reading specs on me, so these vintage Porsche Carreras that I picked up at the Brooklyn Flea on Saturday are something of a miracle (and they come with a second set of gradient lenses).  You can get the exact pair here - or choose from countless similar ones here.

Love the rusty colored down jacket. I hope you devote a post to winter gear one day (in the spirit of your travel must-haves from a while back), as looking refined in a down jacket seems to me quite a feat.

Oh those aviators are the best! Nice addition to the wardrobe.

I have a pair that I wear all the time - not only are they stylish, but they're also completely comfortable! I felt like I had won the lottery when I found mine! Great score.

It's funny that you actually look like you're in San Fran or somewhere like that -- the water looks lovely and clean . . . not on the Pulanski Bridge overlooking Long Island City :)

It's also funny that my hair looks like something that might embarass the bride of Frankenstein!

They look great on you, such a classic style. I agree with P.H. about the background. It's a great photo of you!

This will probably seem like a heinous crime, but my husband and I raided two pairs of Porsche sunglasses from his father's closet and we wear them with our Burning Man gear every year.

Maybe we should take better care, but it's so much fun to annoy the more radical hippie faction with vintage brandnames. :-)
