What Happens When You Buy Men's Sweaters

An unfortunate coincidence: the only thick sweater I brought back to the Midwest; the only one my dad found warm enough for 9° below zero.  We went to dinner like this.  I was planning to say we were part of a Wooden Ski Revivalist Society if anyone raised an eyebrow. No one batted an eyelash - probably worse.

Wooden Ski Revivalist Society Sweaters by Rugby (2007 collection).

The best part is when you both wore them to dinner! I can only wonder what people thought.

People probably thought you were one of those creepy couples who think it's cute to dress alike.

what a fantastic memory photo! and it makes me giggle that you both wore them to dinner. If, I was at the restuarant I would have asked if I could take a photo.
I am known to do that:)

The fact it's a little off-center makes it all the more perfect!

I hope that you both ordered something different at dinner. Warm and fun looking sweaters in a mid-1970s sort of way. Perfect for polaroid.

oh this reminds me of christmas pictures in central illinois, the whole family in matching sweaters sitting around the fireplace.

This exact same thing happened to me in the Dominican Republic. None of us had brought sweaters to my friend's family's mountain house, so she had to pull out her parents' sweaters, which were matching and didn't look too dissimilar to those! We all took pictures in those "mom and dad" poses where the mom sits in the chair and the dad stands behind with his arm on her shoulder.

Where is Porter in her sweater?

Hovey Gothic - hilarious! I think matching sweaters are probably quite normal out there...

Hey,

You gotta get over here and take a trip through one of the small norwegian towns (not Oslo, but one of the towns out in the "country".) These sweaters are everywhere. And it isn't irony!

Kind of reminds me of that time some of my Danish friends came to colorado and were just fascinated that people really wore cowboy hats everyday.

Just another reason to visit, Hollister.
