You should make a Hovey trip a bi-annual event. Porter could take interesting photography, you could take pictures of the local fashionable people and scour flea markets and niche stores and introduce us to your finds! Just a suggestion : )

Happy New Year! I'm with you on the more adventures! My doctor told me the only answer for my incurable wanderlust is to travel as much as I can!

Marrakech is one of the places I've always wanted to go...was it just you and your sister...did you feel safe as women traveling there solo?

Wishing you many happy adventures in 2009!

Paris and Marrakech look awesome but I am going to have to sit on that sofa at the Viceroy in 2009.

Happy New Year. I have loved your blog to a ridiculous degree in 2008.

That's exactly what I need...more adventure.
I just watched The Darjeeling Limited and I'm ready to pack my bags and go...unfortunately I don't have any Francois Voltair suitcases...oh well.
Happy New Year!!!

Happy New Year! I'm planning on taking more trips in '09. Ineed to get away. On a side note, I met the Viceroy's new executive sous chef at my friend's Christmas party. Turns out they're cousins.

Next time you're in L.A. do check out the Langham in Pasadena. It used to be the Ritz Carlton. All the furnishings are still there and the grounds are impressive. Lots of Deco, leather, dark wood, and old photos. It was named one of the top 10 spas in America by Tavel & Leisure and it reeks of old money...

Istanbul. You know how I feel about this. Just make sure you don't end up on an episode of "Locked Up Abroad". ha!
