I can't get enough of seashells. I particularly love them in the winter, for the promise of return.

  2. The trouble with those ravishing straw slippers is they only fit size 9 and below, more or less ... and fyi, they can be a bit brutal on your feet if worn around the house too long.

  3. Where do the pens come from? I bought mine at Charlotte Moss.

  4. Oh...they have men's versions that are pretty gigantic. I have 5 pairs! (And love to draw an H on them with a sharpie to make them look a little extra fancy).

The pens are just super cheap versions from that bamboo store. I got some at William Wayne, too.

  5. great guide. i really love the blue fish net design rice bowl! gorgeous. loved william-wayne forever! i can't believe these prices : )

    cheers.

I could do with a chocolate elephant for myself! Cool guides :)

  8. Thanks, HH, re the straw slippers. I've tried all of their sizes, yet none fit! Maddening.

  9. These are a few of my favorite things(in keepin' with the season and all)...

  12. seashells are magical, like a time capsule capturing some ancient secret spells

  13. My nephew will love those elephants! The giraffe is very cool too. Thanks so much for the lead.

  15. That Susan's a blog whore. I've seen her saying the exact same thing on other blogs all over the country...

  16. One can never have too many seashells or pheasant feathers! I used to keep a variety of those lovely straw slippers in the entry --- a bit of encouragement for guests to step out of muddy boots in the winter. I do agree, they are probably best for short term wear. Love your idea for the sharpie monogram.

Lovely blog.. . I shall return.

I particularly love the calling cards! And I had forgotten about my own straw slippers--I found 3 pairs embroidered with different colored straw flowers for $0.99 a pair about 5 years ago (in Houston of all places!)
