The Haunting: Betty Draper

We Hoveys have been absolutely lazy Halloweeners the last few years. We shall overcome!  No more waiting for the 31st...we're makin' up for all that past neglect throughout all of October.  Installment #1...

(Editorial note: Smoking kills).

"I don’t know why I’m here. I mean, I do, I’m nervous, I guess. Anxious. I don’t sleep that well. And my hands. They’re fine now, it’s like when you have a problem with your car and you go to a mechanic and it’s not doing it anymore. Not that you’re a mechanic. I guess a lot of people must come here worried about the bomb. Is that true? It’s a common nightmare, people say. I read it in a magazine. My mother always told me that it wasn’t polite to talk about yourself. She passed away recently. I guess I already said that."

this is too fantastic! love it. first shot is brilliant : )

A very inspired choice for a halloween costume. I just finished watching the first season of Mad Men, and am now rewatching the second season with new perspective. It is, without a doubt, the best tv show.

This is even more convincing then January Jones. SHOCKING -- what a great Betty Draper. The casting people on Mad Men should take note if they're looking for extras. Really great work! Very excited to see what follows. You Hovey ladies . . .

Perfect idea. I am more of a Joan Holloway, so maybe I will go with that. I have been meaning to get one of those gold pen necklace thingies anyway.

Joanna -- Lolita is brilliant! I'm more of a Joan myself in the chest department, BA. Where can we get those pointy bras?

(Wait until you see tomorrow's costumes -- I keep exploding into fits of laughter. The Hoveys have lost their minds!).

The Joan Holloway Pen Necklace you can get on at
1928 Jewelry and the beautiful bras I would go with something from Panache's Retro Collection - a busty girl's brand at figleaves.com

Hey!

I've entered a contest to win a walk-on role on that retro-licious TV show, "Mad Men".

If you wouldn't mind taking a couple of seconds to vote for me, go to my blog, or copy and paste the following link which goes right to my picture:
